And here I am again in my kitchen dyeing wool with madder root. I have done it a few times before using white wool. The result was a pretty vivid red with a slight orange hue. Interested to see it? Check out this post.
In this attempt I used the same type of wool but in natural gray. I also used a little less of the madder root powder which resulted in a slightly paler brownish red. Nevertheless, it looks quite good when combined with green or beige.
Here you can see my first belt woven from this wool. Birka 6 pattern. I like to the extent I decided to offer it also in my shop on Etsy as a trim made to order.
